Since I live in South Dakota where roughly 65% of the population will vote for Trump I probably won't do any canvassing but I have spoken with my neighbors. In 1972 I spent roughly 9 months canvassing and working for George McGovern in the Grand Rapids area. It was a wonderful experience even though we lost.
I signed up to phone bank in Arizona next week. I’m in Texas and have had some great experiences in past years blockwalking and in phone banking usually have a couple calls that are so worthwhile. I’m shy but those are good formats anyway
"Do something". Gosh imagine if we all did... WV has a disproportionate number of state legislators who are MDs - pretty sure the wife would kill me if I even considered that. But now's a good time to start doing what we can locally for the next elections - school board, city council, etc. Hope you get to spend some time back home for a bit!
"Let me put it this way. In Western Michigan, can I say in the United States, it is not the influx of non-white workers that threaten our economy. It is the loss of a Scanlon Plan type of approach to workers. It is the choice to put stockholders, rather than workers, in the driver’s seat of major companies. It is the choice of CEO’s like Elon Musk to muzzle the ox for the sake of sifting out a few more grains of wheat for his stockholders."
I live in Texas and signed up to phonebank in AZ next week . Lots of slots to choose from. The timing is a little weird in converting from AZ to my time but...confirmation will tell you!
I’ve signed up to make calls with Arizona Democrats - Jumpstart AZ on Thursday, Oct 31, 2024. Are you free to join me? Use this link to sign up: https://mobilize.us/s/st1CJO
Thank you Kristin for sharing with the Convocation on the road. For giving up and telling us that we have a community. Thanks to Jamar, Robby and Diana too. I'm tired and tonight all of your work and words brought tears and Hope. God Bless the four of you.

My friend has a couple extra rooms for anyone who wants to spend the week here.

Thank you Kristin Du Mez.
I was at the Tempe, Arizona event and it was encouraging, challenging and strengthening.
I'm going to watch the video of it again!
I will also be canvassing again today after meeting with Governor Whitmer and others here in Holland, MI.
