“Confronted with the chance to vote for someone who has heard the radical social message of the prophets, they (evangelicals) will have voted for cynical, power-hungry, sanctimonious manipulators who promise to do nothing to disturb American values,”
Prophetic words from Wolterstorff and a well deserved award for you...
I too am thankful for Calvin's support of your work.
Thanks for sharing your teaching and content! I envy the students in your class. Be encouraged by the award you’ve just received to go on doing good (in the classroom and out here for all of us to profit from).
YOU ARE A WONDERFUL TEACHER .I REALLY GROOVED WITH YOUR SPEAKERS YOU BROUGHT IN. I CAN SEE HOW YOUR STUDENTS RESPONDED SO WELL TO YOUR MATERIALS. I TAUGHT 12 YEARS AT UWT AND IT WAS THE HGHLIGHT OF MY PROFESSIONAL LIFE. I FULLY RESONATE WITH YOUR COMMENTS ABOUT HOW YOU ENJOYED STUDENTS AGAIN. TED JOHNSTONE
Very proud of the scholarship and leadership you provide at and well beyond Calvin. Not to mention being a constant inspiration to students and to old(er) folks like me.
So happy for the semester you have spent with these students and grateful for the thoughtful teaching they received. You are a gem and an inspiration. Congratulations on your well-deserved award! I am eagerly awaiting your new book!
I am so gratified to learn of the well deserved award you just received from your university ... their support of your work ... and the engagement of your students. Rare these days to see Phil 4:8 come alive like this!
I graduated from Calvin in 1965, when it was quite a different place. I have been heartened to see continuing evidence that present-day Calvin values you, Kristin, as a professor, and that you are happy there. I follow your work with interest and approbation. I hope and pray that despite the tempests at Calvin University and in the CRC, you will prosper at Calvin, and continue to inspire and be inspired by your Calvin students. (I recently retired from my day job of professing English at Binghamton, where I taught for 50 years.)

Congratulations on the (well-deserved) award from Calvin. Would love to have been fly on the wall in your just-fifished Evangelicalism course!

Yeah, I will be stealing that Wolterstoff quote, probably for use in a kind of “about which election was this written/said?” game.
Contrasting Kidd and Sharp was a great move!

Deeply jealous of these students!
