The first comment on an initial blog post should be erudite, witty, and knowledgeable. This, of course is none of those. Who am I kidding—I’m a Lutheran Preschool Teacher who spends her days loving on 2s and 3s, and having deep discussions about the habits of the ants on our classroom floor, and why did those people want to hurt Jesus, among other topics.

However I have enjoyed your writing, and your gracious and generous posts on Twitter. Thank you for starting this blog. I am looking forward to interacting with you and with others here.

Blessings and best wishes for all that is to come.

Happy to see this. I had previously suggested a podcast, but we may already have too many of these. The newsletter will be better.

I'm so glad you're writing this news letter. Bravo!

I would really like to know what Evangelicals do with the fact that 2% of babies are born with both sex genitalia. I narrated a Scientific American book on sexuality and it was one of the articles in it. What the heck! Most parents facing this "choose" the sex of their baby at birth or wait until they show some sort of preference. But if the incidence rate is so high, why don't we hear more about it and what are Christians saying? Any church I've gone to probably wouldn't talk about it.

I just wonder if you've heard anything about this and what, if anything is being said?

Maybe this will be a good place for me to process how to help my church change in the area of women in church leadership or find a new place. We've been in leadership in one way or another for most of our 32 years there.
